Business and Marketing Strategy
In 2024, I founded NoSolo, a travel startup to help solo travelers meet others for shared dinners while in new cities. I developed the business fundamentals, particularly the marketing strategy and implementation, gaining a holistic view of what it takes to run and promote a business.
Accomplishments:
Spearheaded market research to define the target audiences with interviews, surveys, and social media groups.
Developed the user journeys for stakeholders, a business plan, and a multichannel marketing strategy.
Researched audience needs to define the target users.
Conducted a competitive analysis of the food and travel space.
Gained membership in an incubator for startups.
Executed the minimum viable service and iterated with 3 different business models.
Maintained website and created strategic content for social media platforms, monthly e-newsletter (300+ members), and blog. Managed all stages of the content production lifecycle.
Managed 3 contractors to help with video, social media, and market research.
Executed 15+ dinners with 60+ diners in Boston, Atlanta, Valencia, and Buenos Aires.
Created strategic content for website, social media, email, and the blog. Managed all stages of content production.
Planned/organized/promoted on Meetup, social media, WhatsApp, Eventbrite, and print.
I’m on pause with NoSolo as I re-evaluate the marketing strategy for solo travelers, a slippery audience. At the moment, the Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) is too high for it to be viable.
